Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR)
BFR provides a solution to the popular question: Is it possible to improve muscle strength and growth while decreasing exercise intensity?
The answer is yes. A safe and evidence-based yes.
For athletes and patients having a hard time exercising due to pain, recent injury, or surgery: BFR allows you to reap the benefits of high-intensity exercise while only performing at a low-to-moderate intensity.
How? By restricting blood flow to your arms or legs, physical therapists can imitate the stress of heavy lifting on your muscles. Pair this with low-to-moderate lifting, and you can give your muscles a high-intensity workout, without the pain and stress that heavier weights may cause during recovery.
Kinesio Taping Program
Kinesio taping is a relaxing, affordable, and natural way to reduce achy and swollen muscles, joints, tendons, or ligaments.
MPS - Micro Point Stimulator (ETPS- Electro Therapeutic Point Stimulation)
Did you know that the body has common pressure points that often collapse on your nerves and joints? These collapses then cause pain and discomfort in concentrated areas.
MPS is both FDA-approved and proven to control pain levels by releasing these collapsed points. By using highly accurate point simulation (like acupuncture’s well-placed needles) and microcurrent stimulation (that immediately targets and relaxes pressure points), patients can feel relief within minutes.
Your physical therapist will walk you through your treatment and reassess often to ensure that all the affected pressure points have been addressed.
MPS is also proven to increase range of motion and provide positive long-term effects. In some cases, it may even work faster than manual therapies and other treatments!
