FAQs
What do Physical Therapists do?
By evaluating your pain, loss of mobility, injuries, and other conditions, doctors in physical therapy can help you get back to a daily life when moving was less challenging and painful. At PhysicalOne, our doctors understand every client is unique, so you’ll receive the attention and care you need to reach your unique goals.
How long do I need to go to Physical Therapy for?
Every client recovers at a different pace. But at PhysicalOne, you’ll never have to guess what your pace is. We’ll consider your specific needs with a clear treatment plan and estimated time to graduation.
What will happen during my first Physical Therapy appointment?
Simple! We get to know you and what brings you in. This includes your health history, reasons for coming in, and your goals. Then, we’ll gather a baseline and see where your strength, balance, range of motion, and pain levels are. You’ll leave your first session with a clear roadmap to your goals and/or recovery.
Does Physical Therapy hurt?
Just like exercise, some soreness and discomfort is expected as your muscles adapt to your new plan of care. But pain is not the norm. If you ever do feel pain, let your physical therapist know immediately!
How long does a Physical Therapy session last?
No more than 90 minutes for your initial sessions. After that, they last 30 – 60 minutes.
Do I need a physician referral to see our Doctor of Physical Therapy?
You can call, click below, or come and visit us anytime to request an appointment. No referral needed!
Do you accept health insurance?
We are in-network with most major insurance companies, including Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Medicare. If you’re ever unsure of your particular coverage, don’t hesitate to call us and we’ll happily verify your benefits.
Which payment types do you accept?
Cash, checks, and major credit cards are all accepted at PhysicalOne. Please note that your copayment and coinsurance are collected at the time of service.
What should I wear to my sessions?
Physical therapy attire is no different from gym attire. Athletic loose-fitting shirts, shorts/pants, and sneakers will let you move freely and comfortably.
Do I need to complete an Intake form?
Yes. And you can do it from the comfort of your home. We’ll send you an email or text message with a link to the intake, consent, and authorization forms. Have those ready before coming in for a quick and smooth start to treatment.
How early should I arrive to my first appointment?
We recommend new clients arrive 30 minutes early. Just to make sure we have everything we need to start you on your journey to feeling good again.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Make a checklist of the following before you head out:
- Insurance card
- Identification card
- Diagnostic results (if any)
- Medication list (if any)
We’ll scan your cards and keep them on file, so you won’t have to bring them again.
