Joint Replacement Conditions

A joint replacement involves removing part of or the entire damaged joint and replacing it with hardware called prosthesis. These are made of plastic, metal, ceramic, or a combination of these materials and allow the limb to move without pain or limitations. The most common types of joint replacement surgery include:

  • Total knee replacement
  • Total hip replacement
  • Shoulder replacement

If you’ve undergone a joint replacement, you may have been referred for Physical Therapy. PhysicalOne provides prescribed exercises that help restore strength and mobility to your new joint for a gradual return to your daily activities.
